In the presence of The Rt Hon the Lord Mayor, Charles Bowman and The Sheriffs

Once again we have the privilege to entertain the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress in their own home, a privilege not granted to all Livery Companies every year.

Our speaker will be the Lord Mayor himself, Alderman Charles Bowman. He is a senior partner with PwC and Alderman of the Lime Street Ward. He served as Sheriff of the City of London in 2015/16.

Charles is a member of the Court of the Worshipful Company of Grocers and a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.

He is an Ambassador for the Samaritans, Trustee of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal and Advisor to The Mansion House Scholarship Scheme.

His mayoral theme focuses on the ‘Business of Trust’.

Also invited to join us are both Sheriffs, Aldermen Tim Hailes and Neil Redcliffe, together with their consorts.

We will be welcomed by the PIkemen & Musketeers of the Honourable Artillery Company on parade. Then, after a champagne Reception, dinner will be in the spectacular Egyptian Hall. Music will be provided by members of the brass section of the Royal Marines Association Concert Band. I hope to see as many of you as possible at what is one of the highlights of the Marketors’ year.
