The 2020 CMO - Leading Business Transformation - Business Lecture 4
Guest Speakers: Karl Weaver, CEO Isobar UK and Ruth Saunders, Founder and Managing Partner Galleon Blue and On Point
It’s tougher than ever before for companies to grow and survive. Our world is changing at a pace we have never experienced, and the lower barriers to entry make it easier for new, more risk-taking competitors to launch innovative products and services that better meet the needs of consumers, whose expectations are rising fast.
To grow marketers (whether as employees, independent contractors or consultants) need to demonstrate to the Board why their projects are worth investing in, over and above other projects. Yet it’s no secret that marketing often punches below its weight in the Boardroom. Board members perceive that marketers lack commercial credibility, resulting in much needed breakthrough ideas not getting approved.
In this session, Ruth and Karl will look at the drivers that are changing our world and what the 2020 CMO will need to focus on to succeed – as well as how to be more successful in the Boardroom by winning over the hearts, minds and confidence of top management.
Following the presentation there will be time for questions and then an opportunity for discussion over some sandwiches and a glass or two of wine.
