The Education Committee provides research leadership and promotes discussion and debate between the Company, its Members, other Livery Companies, business leaders and the wider marketing profession. In addition, it recognises marketing excellence by recommending and reporting to trustees on awards, bursaries, scholarships, research projects and other activities of a quality likely to advance marketing education or the practice of marketing.

An example of previous work is the partnership with the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers and the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists to produce a seminar with notable speakers and with a specifically digital focus – an area of interest to all three Companies. The last three such seminars have been:

  • 2014 “Can Companies Deal With a Social Media Onslaught?”
  • 2012 “The Olympics and Social Media – Fools’ Gold or The Real Thing?”
  • 2011 “How Do You Win in Today’s Digital World?”

The Marketors also commission the production of reports into matters of topical concern (see Reports and Publications).
