This new bursary, sponsored by Court Assistant Emeritus Professor Martyn Davis and administered through the Marketors’ Trust, aims to provide a life-changing opportunity for a Liveryman of the Company to attend the prestigious Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at the Harvard Business School.

Sponsoring the bursary is a long-held dream, the origin of which was germinated when Martyn himself went to Harvard in 1961 at the age of 31, having received a US State Department foreign specialist award to study international marketing there, after which he made a tour of many major companies throughout the USA. He came back from the experience a changed man.

Following her application and then an interview with Harvard in March, the Marketors’ Harvard Business School Bursary has been awarded to Court Assistant Lesley Wilson, Head of BT Marketing Community & Brand Operations.

Speaking of the award, Lesley said “this it will be a life-changing experience, much as it was for Martyn”. Lesley added “there is an additional boost to the reputation of the Marketors when the Master announced that Harvard had decided to accept two candidates, such was the calibre of the applications”.

Therefore, Lesley will be joined at Harvard by Liveryman Tom Tuke-Hastings. https://aatiblog.wordpress.com/2015/05/06/toms-going-back-to-uni-in-harvard/

The Marketors wish both a wonderful time on the programme and are proud of their achievement.
