Dennis skippering a PRIMA 38 ‘assassin’ representing the Marketors and Stationers took line honours and won the Lord Mayor’s Cup outright on corrected time competing in the 47th annual City Livery Yacht Club on Saturday 21st May at Cowes.

Sixteen boats representing eleven different Livery companies made the start line which was organised by the Island Sailing Club who also run the world famous Round the Island Yacht Race every year.

The start line, just off Cowes Roads saw the sixteen competitors jostling for position before heading off towards the east with ‘assassin’ maintaining clean air and force the lead. The wind was to the SW at about 17 knots gusting to 25 and with the sea state in a slight chop the racing was quite challenging and exciting.IMG_0641 (1)[1]
