August is the month of recess in the City but we still found time for two splendid days out. We took a City walk with a difference, round Hampstead finishing on the Heath which is owned by the City.

We began September with a special one-day conference at my alma mater New College, Oxford. The conference was on my theme Marketing for Good is Good Marketing, but we added a twist by entitling it “Is Marketing for Good the Future of Marketing?”

At the end of the conference I took a vote and 100% of those present agreed that Marketing for Good is indeed the Future of Marketing.

After the conference some of us stayed in the college for the weekend finishing on a boat trip on the River Isis, which is what the locals call the Thames.

In Novemnber the Master and his Chilean wife Carmen took a party of 38 members and their partners to Chile. Based in Santiago and then Viña del Mar, they visited five wineries and two world heritage sites.
