The Worshipful Company of Marketors has installed its Master for 2015 – Andrew Marsden, a respected marketer with over 30-years senior experience.
He was installed during a Ceremonial Court and Installation Banquet that took place at the Goldsmith’s Hall in London. The company’s new Wardens were invested at the same ceremony.
The Master, a former president of the Marketing Society, has also served on a number of industry boards, including BCAP and the ABC. He is the former chairman of the ISBA Executive and the IPM, and has sat on the Government’s Advisory Committee on Advertising. He has also been awarded the Fellowships of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, The Marketing Society, The Institute of Promotional Marketing and the Royal Society of Arts, and currently runs a successful brand consultancy.
“This is a landmark year for The Marketors as we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary. Our theme for the year is ‘Building valuable brands’ ” says Andrew. “Our activities for 2015 will focus not only on the brand building as a critical element of shareholder value, but also the benefits and positive business outcomes that it can help deliver for organisations.”
The Installation Banquet, held on the 23rd January featured guest speaker Dame Dianne Thompson DBE, recently retired chief executive of The Camelot Group, who delivered an enlivening speech based on her 40-year marketing career, 14 of which were spent leading the National Lottery Company.
