Our four-step process
The chart below shows the membership process in 4 easy stages.
1. Attend an open evening
These are held in our offices at Plaisterers’ Hall in the City of London and give prospective members an opportunity to meet other members of to the company to have an informal discussion about what’s involved.
2. Application form
Either at the open evening or following this, if you are still interested in becoming a member, you will receive an application form to fill out and submit along with your CV.
3. Interview
You will then be interviewed online by either one or more current members of the Committee.
4. Approval
After the interview, the committee meets to decide if you will be proposed to the Court for approval or whether you should in fact attend an event first. Once submitted to the Court, most applications are then approved. Once you have been approved, the Deputy Clerk will contact you and invite you to gain your freedom of the Company at the next available event or Court meeting.
