Liveryman Gina McAdam has been a distinguished member of the Worshipful Company of Marketors since 2009, joining the ranks of Liverymen in 2018. Her path to success is a testament to her diverse experiences and steadfast dedication to the marketing field.
Career Highlights
Gina's career in marketing began in the dynamic world of advertising. Her first role was as an Assistant Account Manager at Ace Compton Advertising (now Ace Saatchi & Saatchi) in Manila, handling the high-profile P&G account for Mr. Clean. She quickly advanced, becoming the youngest Account Executive at J. Walter Thompson, where she managed prestigious brands such as SC Johnson, Anne Klein, and Cacharel.
Her journey then took a scholarly turn as she pursued an MA in Literature at Newcastle University, followed by a period in Madrid where she taught English and contributed to English-language magazines. New York City was her next stop, where she worked for Marketing Insights, interviewing industry leaders like Robert Mondavi and the CEOs of Staples and Nautica.
Upon returning to the UK, Gina played a pivotal role at the national training organisation for the UK hospitality industry. Her tenure saw her enhance the organisation's profile among key stakeholders and contribute significantly to its evolution into a Sector Skills Council. Her consultancy career further expanded her influence, notably with Café Spice Namaste and Romulo Café, helping to elevate Filipino cuisine in the UK.
A published author, Gina's recent work, "Houses that Sugar Built: An Intimate Portrait of Philippine Ancestral Homes," reflects her deep cultural ties and has been met with acclaim. Her dedication to education also shines through her decade-long role as a visiting lecturer in Paris.

Within the Worshipful Company of Marketors, Gina is an active force on the Outreach Committee, where she handles communications and public relations. She excels as a matchmaker, connecting Outreach Directors with small charities in need of marketing support, and ensures their efforts are well-represented across the Livery’s communication channels.
