To inspire and enable smaller charities to run marketing campaigns in support of their cause.
London, 22nd January 2024 – The Worshipful Company of Marketors is pleased to announce the recipients of its esteemed annual Charity Grants program for the year 2023 The Marketors’ Charity Grants initiative aims to inspire and empower smaller charities in launching impactful marketing campaigns in support of their respective causes.
In the third year of this program, The Marketors’ Trust is proud to award a total of £30,000 in grants to six extremely deserving charities. The top grants of £10,000 each have been awarded to Harry’s Hat and Been There, while Papa’s Park, The Children’s Heart Federation, The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse Theatre, and The Society each receive £2,500.
Harry's Hats a user-led registered charity, is dedicated to supporting children with hydrocephalus and their families across the UK. The £10,000 grant will bolster their 'Here when you need us' project, reinforcing core messaging to ensure families facing hydrocephalus know they are not alone.
Been There a mental health charity providing free 1-to-1 mentoring for adults dealing with body image issues from Mentors who have ‘been there’ too, continues its impactful work with a repeat grant in 2023. The Marketors’ Grant will help promote Been There and bring service users, volunteers, and donors into the community for longer-term support and advocacy,
Papa's Park managed by the Pulross Area Play Association, operates a community park in Brixton, South London, with a focus on improving residents' quality of life. The £2,500 grant will aid in overcoming challenges, increasing awareness, and rebuilding facilities to ensure the park's sustainable future.
The Children's Heart Federation the leading national charity supporting children with heart conditions, receives support from The Marketors Trust to develop an online dedication page. This initiative will create a shared safe space for loved ones to connect, share stories, and pay tribute to children who have lost their battles with heart conditions.
The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse Theatre for the Community (CHPTC) enriches the community through arts experiences, workshops, and educational opportunities. The grant will further support their efforts in promoting the health benefits of the arts and building community engagement.
The Trollope Society dedicated to the study and enjoyment of Anthony Trollope's works, operates the Big Read program. Facilitated through Zoom and supported by academic experts, the program engages Trollope enthusiasts in reading and discussing selected works, fostering a vibrant community of literary enthusiasts.
