The Awards Committee encourages, recognises and rewards marketing excellence through academic and professional awards and bursaries funded by The Marketors’ Trust. We support awards to outstanding students of marketing and are currently fostering and sponsoring the Teaching Excellence Award with the Academy of Marketing; discover more here.
The Committee is also piloting a new award to encourage people from a wide range of backgrounds to enter the marketing profession through marketing apprenticeships. It supports the Chartered Institute of Marketing student prizes which includes the Michael Baker Strategy Award.
We also work tirelessly to increase awareness of marketing and its pivotal role in business success. Our efforts, particularly in the City of London and via members in the regions across the not-for-profit and public sectors, are aimed at enlightening the community about the power of marketing. These initiatives, funded by the Company and sponsorship, are a testament to our commitment to spreading this important knowledge – further details may be found in our Impact Report.
“We have developed a number of successful collaborations and partnerships with academia and industry over the past decade. We aim to build on these to further foster and encourage the development of excellent marketing for the benefit of all”
Professor Phil Harris, Chairman of the Awards Committee

Our members are regularly asked to participate in shaping future marketing qualifications and research. Recently, members have worked with the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education and are working with Pearson on the Marketing T level. We are also working with the Marketing Academy Foundation to raise awareness of Marketing apprenticeships.
